Pullman Railroad Days
Sat, May 17 – Sun, May 18, 2025
11141 S Cottage Grove Ave. , Chicago, IL 60628
Pullman Railroad Days will provide an immersive journey through the golden age of rail travel, showcasing rare historic railcars, special tours, and expert presentations on the Pullman legacy.
Historic Pullman Foundation (HPF), in partnership with the American Association of Private Railcar Owners (AAPRCO) and Metra, proudly present Pullman Railroad Days 2025, a two-day festival celebrating the rich history of rail travel and its lasting impact on Chicago and the nation. The extraordinary event takes place May 17 and 18, 2025, at Pullman National Historical Park and State Historic Site, here in the heart of America’s first planned industrial community.
Come and explore historic Pullman railcars including the Royal Street – a sleek Observation-Lounge railcar built by the Pullman Company in 1950 for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad. This year’s event will also mark the 100th Anniversary of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, the pioneering Black labor union that transformed the Black middle-class in America.
