Rosehill Cemetery Veteran's Memorial

Tower Square, Marion, IL 62959

Historic Sites

This multi-war memorial is a tribute to those veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice in Mexican War, Civil War, Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War.

Rising from the center of the plaza is a large clock and observation tower. Around the plaza are several brick walls (6 in all). Each wall carries the names of those who gave their lives from various wars. Behind the tower is a large flag pole, yet not as tall as the tower. The flag pole was presented by the Marion Jacees. The plaza is well planted with shrubs and flowers.
