The Illinois Watercolor Society 42nd National Exhibition brings outstanding contemporary watercolor from across the nation to The Next Picture Show, April 29–May 30, 2026, with a public reception on May 2
The Next Picture Show in Dixon, IL, is excited to once again host the Illinois Watercolor Society for their 42nd Illinois Watercolor National Exhibition. This show features talented artwork by artists from the USA, Canada, and beyond. The series runs April 29-May 30, 2026.
The show is free and open to visitors during gallery hours, Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Opening Reception and Demo
The public opening reception on Saturday, May 2, from 1–4 p.m. is free and features a live watercolor demonstration by the juror, followed by the awards presentation recognizing excellence and signature honorees.
