Illinois Amerika 250: IM ZENTRUM UNSERER NATIONALEN GESCHICHTE
Am 4. Juli 2026 wird der 250. Jahrestag der Unterzeichnung der Unabhängigkeitserklärung begangen. Jahrestag der Unterzeichnung der Unabhängigkeitserklärung. Überall in Illinois können Besucher auf sinnvolle Weise mit diesem historischen Meilenstein in Verbindung gebracht werden.
Die Illinois America 250 Commission entwickelt in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Illinois Office of Tourism eine landesweite Website zu historischen Stätten, Museen und Denkmälern, die zeigen, auf welch vielfältige Weise die Einwohner von Illinois die Ideale der Unabhängigkeitserklärung mit Leben erfüllt haben.
Die Beiträge von Illinois zur amerikanischen Geschichte begannen lange vor 1776 und werden weit über diesen Jahrestag hinaus andauern. Die Seiten sind in vier Illinois America 250-Themen gegliedert:
